Who You Are

The successful candidate will join our team as the person who helps our members find solutions when they are struggling to make their loan payments or dealing with account fraud. From making phone calls on negative accounts and mailing letters to managing the claims process, you will guide our members through the Good Neighbors experience from start to finish.

We empower all team members to come up with creative, individualized solutions for each member situation. This is not traditional banking governed by rules and bureaucracy. Problem solving, decision-making and judgement calls should excite you. Ideal candidates will perform best working at a steady pace while giving their full attention to coming up with the best solution for the member and the credit union. We expect all our employees to be an ambassador of our brand and philosophy. You will work closely with your team to deliver world class service to our members, taking ownership of their entire experience with us.

The goal of the Collections Specialist is to be the “how” of our “why”; ensuring members are receiving the world-class service experience that drives our growth and keeps us grounded in our mission.

We are looking for a lifetime learner committed to growing as a servant leader.

  • Min. 3 years of customer service experience
  • Must be extremely independent, disciplined, & resourceful
  • Possess a talent for finding a creative plan to our members
  • An open communicator and humble collaborator
  • Willing to extend radical empathy in your relationships

What the Job Is

  • Make phone calls on delinquent accounts
  • Consistently follow up on repayment plans and workouts
  • Counsel members on ways to reestablish their relationship with the credit union and improve their financial position
