Wanted: Loan Officer / Member Experience Officer

WHO YOU ARE:  

The successful candidate will join our team as the account representative who cares for all our member’s needs outside of the teller line. From account opening to loan application intake, you will guide our members through the Good Neighbors experience from start to finish.

We empower all team members to come up with creative, individualized solutions for each member situation. This is not traditional banking governed by rules and bureaucracy. On-the-fly decision-making and judgement calls should excite you. Ideal candidates will perform best under pressure in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. We expect all our employees to be an ambassador of our brand and philosophy. You will work closely with your team to deliver world class service to our members, taking ownership of their entire experience with us.

The goal of the member service officer is to be the “how” of our “why”; ensuring members are receiving the world-class service experience that drives our growth and keeps us grounded in our mission.

  • Min. 3 years of customer service experience
  • Must be extremely independent, disciplined, & resourceful
  • Possess a talent for identifying additional cross sale opportunities for members
  • An open communicator and humble collaborator

WHAT THE JOB IS:

  • Open accounts
  • Take loan applications
  • Answer member phone calls
  • Troubleshoot account questions and issues
  • Share credit union products and services to help reach our lending and sales goals

Wanted: Senior Loan Officer

Unlike traditional underwriting roles, the loan decisions you make will not be based on a matrix or strict set of underwriting rules. Rather, you will be tasked with looking at each individual application and using your analytical skills and judgement to determine eligibility for approval. Ideal candidates will perform best under pressure in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. We expect all our employees to be an ambassador of our brand and philosophy. You will work closely your team to deliver world class service to your members, taking ownership of their lending experience with us.  

The goal of the senior loan officer is to be the “how” of our “why”; making loan decisions that drive our growth and keep us grounded in our mission.

  • Min. 3 years of consumer loan decisioning    
  • Min. 3 years of mortgage lending  
  • Commercial lending experience preferred but not required    
  • Must be extremely independent, disciplined, & resourceful  
  • Possess a talent for identifying additional cross sale opportunities for members  
  • An open communicator and humble collaborator 
  • Willing to extend radical empathy in your relationships 

WHAT THE JOB IS: 

  • Lend according to our unique philosophical guidelines  
  • Make on average 10-15 loan decisions daily  
  • Lead us in hitting our lending targets  
  • Measure and maintain an appropriate delinquency level for our risk appetite  
  • Troubleshoot account questions and issues 
  • Complete department reports

Ideal candidates will perform best working at a steady pace while giving their full attention to coming up with the best solution for the member and the credit union.  WHAT THE JOB IS: 

  • Make phone calls on delinquent accounts  
  • Assist members with fraud disputes from notification through the claim process  
  • Create and maintain reports and logs  
  • Consistently follow up on repayment plans and workouts  
  • Counsel members on ways to reestablish their relationship with the credit union and improve their financial position
