WHO YOU ARE:
Accountable for the supervision of the teller area. May perform all teller
functions on a limited basis. Solve escalated member problems and/or help with complex member questions or work-related matters. Guide and advise tellers in the efficient handling of member needs and accurate transactional processes.  The mission is to support the frontline team in delivery of Good Neighbor level member service, organizing efficient work flow and maintaining the physical branch.

WHAT THE JOB IS:

  • Supervise the activities of the teller operations area by assigning work, answering questions, solving problems, helping with complex transactions and sensitive member relations problems.
  • Explain policies and procedures to members as a communication tool.
  • Ensure that staff is trained and cross-trained in all phases of their particular jobs to ensure the delivery of quality service to members and to ensure accuracy in transactions.
  • Develop, apply, and evaluate policies and procedures for the department.
  • Manage and recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of all State and Federal regulations that are applicable to the transactions performed in the cashier/teller area. Knowledge of all credit union policies and processes within the teller area.
  • Ensure that safety and security policies are up to date and training is provided on the safety and security procedures.
  • Serve as a vault teller for the credit union, which includes ordering the cash and currency from the Federal Reserve, verifying cash received, filling teller cash orders, maintaining full vault security, and balancing vault cash nightly.
  • Approve member exceptions and authorize service fee refunds to members when deemed necessary.
  • Oversee proper availability of daily cash, money orders, and traveler’s checks.
  • Investigate teller losses and institute corrective flow of work and/or corrective disciplinary action where required.
  • Study the work flow on an on-going basis to determine staffing requirements. Oversee work schedules for full-time and part-time employees in the teller area to ensure proper service to members.

OUTCOMES: 

1. Support the Frontline

  • Make CXO aware of any concerns or performance gaps
  • Assist team members leading by example and jumping in when necessary

2.  Branch Operations

  • Keep branch clean and clutter free by making regular inspections from the member point of view. Adhere with zeal to the brand look of clean, clear and clutter-free.
  • Utilize the walk-through checklist daily
  • Ensure the branch is always adequately stocked with supplies
  • Maintain frontline coverage for both branches (Depew 3, Buffalo 2) to ensure adequate member service. Communicate changes (call ins, vacations etc.) to the other branch manager and notify COO of plan.
  • Independently resolve all vendor issues specific to your branch to maintain the smooth flow of operations and notify COO of credit union wide incidents immediately – complete vendor incident reports.
  • Maintain the vault cash and ensure that it is properly in balance daily.
  • Maintain and process ATM cash and transactions and ensure it is properly in balance

3. Member service.

  • Recognize and immediately address deviation from member service standards – maintain a secret shopper rating 9 and above.
  • Address all member issues occurring at your branch with a 100% satisfaction rating from member
  • Fee reversals – follow the new CPAY fee reversal policy and be the point person for fee reversals at both branches of communication.
  • Communicate change, strategy, goals and expectations positively and clearly.
  • Be transparent and speak with candor and tact.

WHO YOU ARE:
The Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) is a key member of the Good Neighbors Credit Union lending team who concentrates exclusively on real estate lending, primarily first mortgages. The MLO is responsible for interviewing applicants for real estate loans and processing applications. Gathering background information and assessing loan applicants’ mortgage readiness.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Establish and monitor control procedures for first-mortgage loan portfolio
• Interview loan applicants and assist members with the loan application process. Handle mortgage loans of highest complexity, values and risk
• Obtain and evaluate credit bureau reports on applicants
• Pull credit bureau reports on applicants
• Approve or deny real estate loan applications and explain reasons for denial
• Ensure that each real estate loan is processed accurately
• Pay title company fees for title searches, legal work and appraisals
• Manage second mortgage portfolio and work with Marketing team to develop marketing plans for these products
• Monitor delinquent real estate loans and take action as necessary
• Train new mortgage loan officers (MLO)
• Actively manage MLOs relative to real estate lending transactions
• Ensure that the Credit Union home equity program adheres with all regulatory requirements
• Manage Credit Union Home Equity Line of Credit plan, ensuring all rate/payment changes notices are prepared and mailed out semi-annually
• Responsible for adherence to SAFE Act requirements, including MLO disclosure requirements
• Assuring annual renewal of Credit Union and MLOs with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry (NMLS)
• Conducting annual SAFE Act training with all registered MLOs

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AS NEEDED:
• Develop mortgage loan business through member seminars and calls to realtors, contractors and other institutions
• Prepare mortgage loan application and document packet for closing
• Pay real estate taxes including calculating tax shortages and new monthly payments
• Maintain accurate records of insurance and taxes on real estate loans
• Maintain escrow accounts for the payment of members’ taxes and insurance premiums
• File necessary papers with the state land title for second mortgages

This position is responsible for the effective development, coordination and presentation of training and development programs for all employees. The Training Specialist assesses credit union-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees.

      • Serves as the primary organizational trainer for the “Principle 5 Academy” with the goal of standardizing the Good Neighbors way across departments and branches.
      • Manages training content, calendars, scheduling, reporting, training room and training supplies.
      • Leads the creation and management of “The Training Hour”, sourcing outside voices, coordinating and scheduling presentations.

WHO YOU ARE:  

As the HR Generalist, you will help Good Neighbors recruit and support team members in service to our culture and mission. The successful candidate will: 

  • Be organized and thorough in the administration of all HR programs.
  • Achieve goals consistently and efficiently.

  • Be proficient with technology and Microsoft Office.

WHAT THE JOB IS: 

  • Process weekly payroll including management of any PTO balances, deductions, direct deposit, etc.
  • Act as the employee point of contact for all benefit and leave related inquiries including the administration of annual open enrollment and new employee enrollment. 
  • Assist with auditing and reporting functions including assessment of current benefit programs and recommendations for the future. 
  • Manage candidate screening and interview process including onboarding of any hired candidates.
  • Track employee disciplinary and corrective actions, complaints, and employee personnel files.
  • Conduct terminations and offboarding including exit interviews, discontinuation of benefits, etc.
  • Review and update any HR related policies including the employee handbook.

  • Evaluate vendors to partner with the credit union.
  • Makes personal visits and solicits new business.
  • Oversees results of the department.
