Call for Volunteers

Join Our Committees!

We are currently seeking members who are interested in serving on our Advisory or Supervisory Committees. These volunteer roles offer a meaningful way to support the credit union, build leadership experience, and help ensure we continue serving our community responsibly.

Good Neighbors is a financial cooperative, which means we are owned and run by you, our members! One of the ways members help shape the credit union is by volunteering on our committees.

See role descriptions below!

Advisory Committee

Advisory Committee members serve as non voting volunteers who gain insight into how the Board operates while contributing ideas and perspectives. It is a great opportunity to learn more about credit union leadership and support the future of Good Neighbors.

Advisory Committee members are appointed by the Board of Directors and serve one year terms, renewable with a majority Board vote following the Annual Meeting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Attending Board meetings at least once each quarter and the annual strategic planning session
  • Participating in Board committee meetings when appointed
  • Completing training as determined by the Board of Directors

Eligibility: Applicants must be Good Neighbors Credit Union members in good standing for at least one year and be willing to submit a resume, references, and authorize a criminal background check.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the credit union’s annual independent audit
  • Verifying members’ accounts
